Hi @g-a-r-y,
Yes, in fact this is a non-official course, so the only option would be looking for help with the course creators.
@Thomas.Heiss thanks a lot for your prompt answer!

Iâve noticed an issue with one task in the Learn with Locals exercise for Portuguese (Portugal) 5 level 19 Terrestrial Weather (on the Android app). The speaker in the video says ânĂŁo tem possibilidadesâ which is not an option to tap; the accepted answer is âquando Ă© a prĂłxima eleição?â.
Hi @brandtharen38.
Thanks for your message.
This is strange, but I searched for this video in âQuando Ă© a prĂłxima eleiçãoâ and couldnât find it (actually, I didnât find it in any of these three possible answers.)
Once you see this problem again, can you please check if there is a fourth option (scrolling down the screen) and send us another screenshot? (Also let us know in case the problem is already solved by then.)
When a similar issue occurs, itâs generally caused to a wrong link between the string and the video, which could be easily fixed. However, at this time I canât find the video in the (wrong) âright answerâ mentioned by you.
Iâll wait for further info, so we can look into it.
Thanks! =)

Hi @IgCostaBR, thank you for looking into this. I have now completed this course level and have not had this video show up since I posted earlier despite many video exercises. It must be resolved since prior to my original post I had received the video several times.
This seems to be a fairly active thread so Iâm hoping someone can help.
Im trying to create a new course to help me study for one of my European Portuguese courses. I added a ton of words to two different levels but it keeps acting as if I have only put in 10 words to the level vs the 30+ that Iâve entered in twice now.
When I go in to edit the levels it shows all of the words Ive entered in. But I cant get them to actually show up in the course itself, only when Iâm in edit mode.
I tried deleting the second level and just entering them all in the first level but ran into the same exact issue, only seeing all of the words in edit mode.
Im not sure if Iâm doing something wrong or if thereâs some kind of glitch but any tips would be much appreciated. Iâve been at it for over an hour now, itâs midnight and Iâm out of ideas on how to fix this problem lol
Thanks in advance!
@IgCostaBR
Here are some mistakes that Iâve found in the European Portuguese course. Do you think you can fix these?
5 Level 15 - ⊠mas jĂĄ nĂŁo vivemos: This seems like it should be combined with the previous card âcostumĂĄvamos viver no estrangeiro.â I.e., it was incorrectly split up into two cards. The vivemos by itself doesnât make sense.
5 Level 20 - ou alguĂ©m mais = or else: Shouldnât this be translated as âor someone else?â
6 Level 3 - sĂŁo as minhas calças? = are these my underwear: Iâve been told by a portuguese person that calças never means underwear in Portugal at least. Calças means âpants.â Maybe itâs supposed to be cuecas?
6 Level 3 - estas calças são minhas = these underwear are mine: See above, calças means pants.
6 level 22 - seria = I would (permanently): Shouldnât this be âI would beâ ?
6 Level 22 - iria = I would (temporarily): Shouldnât this be estaria? I think iria means âI would goâ
Iâm sorry we missed to pick up on this report of yours.
Is this still a problem to you? In the coming weeks, Decks website will be LIVE for you to try. Could you retry the action again on Decks website when the site is ready? Your data should be synced on Decks as well.

Hi @roarkuf.
Sorry for my delayed answer.
Iâll take a look at your suggestions on the following days, ok?
Thank you and keep learning! =)
Best regards,
Ignacio
Hi @roarkuf
Hi @IgCostaBR
We looked into this over the last couple of weeks and just released the update.
We had to remove some of the items that were too random or not accurate, and weâve updated the translations for the other ones (namely: âcalçasâ).
Ignacio, you should be fine as well for now.
Thanks every one!
Hi @KanaTsumoto,
I really appreciate it!
Let me know in case I can help with anything else.

Ignacio
Hi, I just got the word âpulĂŽverâ which is translated as âjumperâ but a Google image search makes me think itâs a kind of sweater, not a dress. Could this be fixed?
Does anyone besides me have a hard time with the pronunciation section? I find it basically worse than useless. Somehow google and portuguese FEL are able to parse my pronunciation (which is admittedly far from perfect), and my in person teachers donât think itâs awful. As far as I can tell itâs biased towards mispronouncing the vowels, speaking very slowly, and not skipping any of the syllables that fluent speakers always skip or at least elide. In fact I recorded some of the native speakers used in the app, and the pronunciation section couldnât recognize what they said.
It really feels like you are matching to the dictionary phonemes, which is probably OK for an individual word, but terrible for phrases and sentences in continental portuguese. Any ideas here? Maybe an update or switch you forgot to flip?
Hi there!
Thereâs a little mistake here: the right phrase is
ââŠquando eu cheguei a casaâ. It would be a little change in the text.
I found it in Portuguese (Portugal) Level 5
Thanks! J.
Hi there!
It seems that pronunciation feature is not working properly anymore. Iâm back learning Portuguese after a few month break and iâm really surprised itâs not working anymore. My girlfriend is native Portuguese and the app keeps telling her the pronunciation is not good enough (on the same words the app tells me itâs wrong). I was almost always correct before and now 50% of the words canât be recognized, even by a native speaker. Thatâs a pity.
Maybe there is a way to come back to last yearâs version which was working properly?
For the course, some vocabulary or spelling is still Brazilian Portuguese:
Portuguese 2:
Portuguese 3: Uma infecção (BR) should be uma infeção (POR)
Portuguese 5:
Portuguese 6:
Portuguese 7:
Edit: Words with cç are written with ç & the silent c is removed according to the Novo Acordo Ortogråfico of 2009 in Portugal
There is a minor English error in Portuguese 2. âwantâ should be âwantsâ in âhe want the blue trousersâ, shown below.
Wrong translation of âslippersâ in European Portuguese
The translation given is âsandĂĄliasâ which is sandals
The correct translation should be âchinelosâ
How many words teaches the full course 1-7?
Also does the course include Grammar later on (as on still at lvl1) as my button is grayed out now?
Hi there,
I think it is important to correct words according do Novo Acordo OrtogrĂĄfico, as it became obligatory since 2016, and we are in 2020! It is very difficult to keep in mind that we need to make an intentional error in that cases. The list of those words is kindly put by NPHuynh.
We all would appreciate much the resolution of the issue!
