Please post any comments here for plant courses by @marysiakay

Hi @marysiakay, I look after a lot of plant courses and I wonder if I may either make some suggestions or become a Contributor and make some additions, please?
I have tried to add you as a contributor, let me know if its worked.
As always I will be very respectful with your great plant courses - merely trying to add a few extra features using your data.
Itās unlikely to be until after Christmas now!
You can have a look at other nature and plant courses I am supporting if you like.
āReversedā levels (using the original data) have been added that allow :
Some people prefer to be tested one way (once fully āplantedā) to the other.
Hi @marysiakay,
As Iāve studied your fantastic course, I realise that often instead of a photo of the plant, I am presented with a Description image instead.
With your permission I would like to make the description a separate set of levels.
To do this, you as the Creator of the course (as I donāt have that permission) would need to create another testing (ie not attribute) photo or image column and call it Description or Family Type (or something similar).
I would then āmoveā (by copying) the Description to the new column and create those new levels for you.
This is a feature on other plant courses Iāve studied.
Iām happy to wait until you have a spare moment.
I realise that having the latin name appear instead of the photo does make the course much harder. But I quite like the added challenge of learning to recognise the latin names. I think it would be a shame to lose that entirely. However I do feel the latin name images appear more often than I feel they ought to. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Marysia
Thanks for the prompt reply Marisia.
Yes, I agree it is good to learn the Latin and family names - after learning to recognise the plants from their photos - perhaps.
What others do is to create a set of levels (ie 13 in this case) but instead of plant photos, just the Latin names.
To do this we need another column in the data (as mentioned above) and Iād be happy to sort it all out if you could just create the extra column.
PS
It would take some time as Iād have to save all the Latin name images then upload them to the new column.
Iād then have to duplicate each Level and switch the testing to name and Latin - (unless you want photo and Latin).
Finally I would have to delete the Latin image from the original photo column.
If you would like to do that, I would be most grateful - but as itās my suggestion, I donāt mind doing it.
Itās what I do to the courses I support.
PPS
Iāve just looked at your database and you have the Latin name (text) as an Attribute Column.
If you added a testing column called Latin Name it would be relatively quick for me to copy that across and create the extra testing levels
I think Iāve done as you asked.
Many thanks - itā perfect
Iāve now set up all the levels (from Level 14 to 26 inclusive) for the Latin names.
Have a try.
Once fully learned you will be presented with the āLatin nameā and have to give the ācommon nameā.
Is that the way you want it? - I can easily switch it ?
(As Creator you can āAuto learnā to get there quickly so making it easy to test. You can always āRestartā a level to learn it then.)
[Or if you would like, I can, with a little more effort, create the opposite/ reversed as well. Just let me know.]
Incidentally the second column is called āDefinitionā and it might be better if you renamed it āCommon nameā.
(Latin names is not for me, but Iām sure you and lots of people will appreciate the extra feature using your data.)
Thanks again for your encouragement.
