[Course Forum] Neue Horizonte by Acelluloid

Hi, I am a German teacher in the UK and I am trying to reach “acelluloid” who is the owner of the course “Neue Horizonte”. We also use this textbook and my students love the memrise course that fits to the textbook - thanks for setting it up! However, we have noticed some mistakes and it would be great if those could be corrected.

The full name of the course is: Neue Horizonte

The mistakes are:
level 42: it says “der Land”, “der Meer”, correct is “das Land”, “das Meer”,
in Level 139 there is a capital letter in the adjective Turkish (Türkisch, which has to be: türkisch).
Also, there are non-compulsory articles, that in my opinion should be removed in order not to confuse learners of German:
level 9: (das) Wien
level 14: (das) Deutschland
level 104: (das) Weihnachten
level 136: (das) Spanien
As I said, this is a very well done course and I would love to encourage my students to work further with
memrise and acelluloid’s course if these mistakes can be corrected. Many thanks! Julia

First of all: I think it is super cool that you and your students use memrise!!! :smiley:

Would you be willing to become a course contributor for this course if the original creator has since moved on and is no longer interested in maintaining the course?

With this status, you could make the necessary changes yourself :slight_smile:

Oh, it is always useful to add an actual link to the course in question and not just name it.

@Lien
Can you contact the original course creator?

@amanda-norrsken
Thanks! Sure, I’d be happy to make the necessary changes myself if you could add me as a course contributor.

I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t actually have those powers :wink:

But if you tag “Lien” (as I did above) and ask her nicely, she will be able to confer that status upon you.

@amanda-norrsken Ok, thanks!

@Lien Would it be possible for you to add me as a course contributor to “Neue Horizonte” (cf above) so I can correct some typos and small mistakes in the course? Many thanks!

Thanks, I pinged Acelluloid an email, let’s hope we hear back soon :slight_smile:
