[Course Forum] Michel Thomas French Complete by jdgamble555

There is a type in the spelling on Switzerland (translation for “en suisse”) on Level 8. It’s only a little thing but it would be good if it was spelt correctly. It’s is spelt as “in switzerlang” instead of “in Switzerland”. @Lien, would you kindly make contact with the creator who doesn’t appear to be on the Forum. Here is a link to the course and the actual level. Thank you!

Bonjour, there is a mistake in Level 12 of this otherwise excellent course.

“vous êtes allé” – you went: should be: vous êtes allés – you went (in other words there’s an ‘s’ missing from “allé”).

Merci beaucoup.

Can you help again @Lien or have you now ‘moved on’ ?

As it appears Lien has moved on I’ll tag @fanny_sta here. Fanny can you either contact the creator of this course and ask if he can edit, or conversely, make the correction yourself. Thank you.

Hi both @DW7 @MaxineDownunder,

Thank you for reporting this. I do not have access or right to make modifications in the content of a course created by a user, but I can try and contact them indeed  However, if the creator of the course intended for this sentence to use the formal “vous” to a single person, the sentence “vous êtes allé” is then correct. If they intended for the “vous” to be plural, then the “s” is missing. I can ask them what their intention was and see if it needs rectifications.

Kind regards,
Fanny

Merci beaucoup fanny@sta. I actually thought of that today. Given it could potentially be either, it would be good it "vous êtes allés” could be included as an alternative answer so at least one is not wrong every time. Thanks again!
