I am a contributor to a number of Esperanto courses. One of them is for instance: Speak Esperanto Like a Native.
When I open this course, where can I find the appropriate course forum? At least, that was the case until I remembered, having been away from the website so long, that course forums are no longer in use. Now, like everybody else, I must go to this forum to which there does not appear to be a link from my home page. I would have thought that, if there is a problem with a specific course, it would be so easy to click on the relevant course forum in order to address any problems specific to that course. Since this facility is no longer available, would it be possible to create a link to the community.memrise website from any page on Memrise so that I do not have to lose time by either typing in the relevant details or otherwise trying to find it by other means?
Many of us share your views about the loss of the integrated course forums, although the new forum has lots of features the old ones didn’t have. You’ll find several lengthy discussions of the pros and cons elsewhere in this forum.
Anyway, to answer your questions, you will find the course forums for Esperanto courses in “Language Quarters” > “Constructed Languages”, although it looks like you may need to start a new topic for the course you mentioned.
There is a link to the new forum from the learning website on all pages down as far as the individual course level pages (see below) but what we are still missing is a link in the reverse direction!
It seems common to edit one’s course’s description and add a link to the forum topic for it, too.
Hi Alanh, thank you for your comments. They do answer my question as to the link problem. Indeed, you are correct when you say that there is no reverse link back to the course you came from. That is something the Webmasters should consider. Neoncube, thank you too.
Agreed. This has been suggested before, but Memrise hasn’t implemented it.
