@mary_platt I have a several Bulgarian courses that I’d love audio on, but I don’t have any spreadsheets (or back-up!) since they’ve been created entry by entry straight onto the Memrise site.
I could add you as a contributor to the courses if you are willing and have the time to record audio, or even if you recorded a long list of words that I could then work with? (I’ve no experience with audio files but it’s always good to learn.)

I noticed in two of the courses, the checking is in English. Do you think this is right?

Some of the courses are ‘prompt in English and type Bulgarian answer’ , others are ‘read the Bulgarian and translate into English multiple choice answers’ so learning is in both directions.
I’ve added you as a contributor to http://www.memrise.com/course/110996/bg-food-and-drink I think that would be a good one to start with.

I’m starting tonight or tomorrow. I will record directly on memrise. Yesterday I got a big Windows upgrade and some setting changed. I hope everything is OK with my browser’s settings. I will keep you updated with the progress.
@leggi, I added audio to the first 3 levels.
I made one correction: the name we use for biscuit is бисквита, feminine.
Let me know if everything is acceptable.

Levels 4-8 are ready.
I made one correction for the word onion plural. We don’t use normally this word in plural, but if we do, we say лука, not лукове. We say: two heads of onion - две глави лук.
After seeing this conversation I off to re do this course, many thanks to both @mary_platt and @leggi for your time in doing this. Maybe someone might at least understand me now!!!

I want to give feedback, but it took like 15 minutes to get to this spot to provide feedback! There should be some kind of obvious feedback button or something…
I am working on the Bulgarian courses. I am pleased with them but there are some frustrating things. Sometimes I get partial credit when I misspell a word, but sometimes, if there are two words needed and I only get one, or there is one word needed and I put two, I get no credit. Sometimes it is unclear how many words are wanted, For instance, when the word is an adjective, sometimes the right answer is only the masculine form (as in words like northern, eastern, etc.) and other times the request is for masculine and feminine. But it is a guessing game.
One problem is with the English word “love, affection”. There are two Bulgarian words, обич § любов but the English words are the same so it is a guessing game as to which word is expected.

Thanks so much for adding audio to your food course. I do like to hear the words, it helps to pronounce them and also helps me to remember them.
I have now started on the food course.
I appreciate the time you have both taken.
Most of these courses are provided by English people, and it’s great that they take the time but I have noticed quite a few mistakes.
It would be great to get more Bulgarians helping us and reviewing the courses. I have noticed when I learn something wrong, it’s quite hard to unlearn it,so it would be great to have more confidence in the courses.

I’m hoping mary_russ can add audio to some other courses soon, but the audio recording function is not currently working so we are just having to wait for Memrise to fix it.
If you notice any mistakes in my courses please let me know - I’ve tried to make sure everything is accurate, but not being a native speaker I’m only as good as my sources!

There seems to be a problem with the wod biscuit, it’s not accepting the right answer.
@chrism100 when you say it’s not accepting the right answer, is that with typing tests?
I’ve re-written the entry so it should work -please let me know how it goes!

I’ve just checked it, and it works now. It was the typing test by the way. I think it was one of the words that was changed by the Bulgarian lady, so you migh want to check the other word she changed.
