I can’t find a supporting forum for the “Learn Basic French” created by MurielMorgan, Are there follow up courses created by her? Has anyone else used this course?

Hello @kenpobobd6, I have done that course in the past. I just went to Muriel Morgan’s bio and it appears she is no longer teaching this course, nor any which directly relate to it. It could be that other contributors are now looking after it. FYI, in case you don’t know, you can check another users page by going to the browser like so… www.memrise.com/user/murielmorgan (or whoever you’re looking for.) If you’re looking for other complementary courses, you may want to try the official Memrise courses, eg French 1, French 2 … and so on.
@murielmorgan is not registered here neither. I tag @MemriseMatty who might tell us if someone else contributes to this course.

Some unofficial background information, of the as-I-remember-it variety :
The “Learn Basic ___” courses were made by Memrise staff in 2013, not so much as a product, but mostly as part of Memrise’s ongoing research into what courses get good results. Data from the course and customer feedback have led to improved Memrise-created courses.
Muriel Morgan doesn’t have any other courses, mems, or other activity on Memrise, which makes me think that she was perhaps a summer intern at Memrise.
That’s interesting @lurajane. When you go to the course it shows her as the author however as I discovered when checking her page the other day she’s no longer teaching that course. What you say makes sense.

I have not any specific experience with this Basic French course.
But as I was searching for it (with 498 offered words) today and the other Common-Frases https://app.memrise.com/course/119940/common-french-phrases-3/ courses was specifically referencing it, I just want to let the community know that BenWhately had created a similar beginner course:

Sorry, I have no idea why for French+Italian+Spanish the course names have slightly changed as the well-known “Learn Basic Brazilian Portuguese” course still exists (there also are other Learn Basic Spanish courses).

Other French Beginner/Basic courses are shorter and do not contain so many words/phrases/sentences…
