This is a collection of conversational phrases and expressions, roughly grouped by topic or setting. It occasionally will get added when I trip over new phrases which I feel would make a good addition, so do check back occasionally.
And let me know below if I misspelled, misrepresented, or misunderstood something, so I can make amendments (or amends!)

Hi, I quickly browsed your course and found a typo:

máte sobotu volno -> máte v sobotu volno

(or you might have meant “máte sobotu volnou”, but that would imply all of Saturday)

thanks, I should have spotted that myself… just fixed it in database.

I have found it impossible to follow the course because it does not offer accented characters.

I’m not sure I follow - the course should contain all the correct accents etc. Could you point me to an entry or two which are not correct?

On other modules the necessary accents are available below the type-in box. This allows students, like myself, who do not have Czech keyboards to type in the correctly accented letters. Without this it is impossible for me to type in Czech. Compare your module to one of the official ones.e.g. “First 1000 most common Czech words”.

ah, sorry, I completely misread your initial comment. I’ve now turned these on, thanks for letting me know (I never use the on-screen keyboard, so didn’t miss them)!
