Sure! I have invited the course creator to this thread so hopefully we’ll hear from them soon. If he/she is no longer active on Memrise, would you be interested in becoming a contributor to this course?
The course creator kindly replied to my message:
Hi Lien,
Thank-you for this message! I haven’t logged onto Memrise for some time, but I am happy to see people are making use of my course. I will look into the error. However, please feel free to go ahead and add a contributor if there is someone willing to further grow the course.
Thanks again,
Hi Mila and Lien. Thank-you for keeping an eye on my course! I have corrected the error.
Hi @Lien and @dedicatedrr !
Thanks for following up!
Well, I have some suggestions:
1/ I think it would be better to desactivate tapping tests for this course, because it is a listening course, and in order to type japanese characters we should use an external keyboard (personally, I use lexilogos keyboard, and I only have to type characters in romaji, and the keyboard converts them into kana characters). Of course, I don’t think this is the aim of this course.
2/ Besides, the tapping tests accept romaji.
That’s why I think it would be better to have only multiple choice questions, where the question is “an audio” and the answer is in katakana, but unfortunately it is impossible to set testing in only one direction. Eventhough, I think it would be better and more useful than tapping tests.
I wonder if it is possible to add a japanese keyboard (without romaji) in the course. If it is possible, tapping tests would be beneficial.
Thank you.
