[Course Forum] Japans 1-7 by Memrise (Japanese for Dutch speakers)

こんにちわ, Hello,

In the Japanese course 1, in lesson 17, the translation of ちゅうもんします is misspelled in dutch.
Now it is written as “bestelling”, but it should be “bestellen”.
What means to make a order (ちゅうもんします, “bestellen”). And not the order self (ちゅうもん, “bestelling”).

I hope to hear from someone soon.

greetings,
Nick

noppingさんこんにちは、

Thank you for reporting! This is fixed. If you don’t see the change, please log out and log back in. Thanks!

I believe there is a mistake.

ちゅうもん = bestelling
ちゅうもんします = bestellen
"bestellen" is a verb to make a order.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Noopping,

You’re right, the translations for both items had been switched, and are now as they should be. Thanks a lot for letting us know!

Best,

Thank you! This is a huge relief.

However, there is an other typo in Japanese 1 ->13 where in the universe? -> あなたはにほんじんですか?.
The Dutch translation should be “ben jij Japans?”.

The reason can be difficult to understand. The current translation refers to the previous sentence “ik ben een Nederlander”. What do not exist if you randomize the questions or makes trouble in a real conversation if you don’t say the previous sentence.

Please, add a “b” before “en jij Japans?”.

Greetings,
Nick
