I’m trying to find @framwockle, the creator of this course. The course is really good, but I’d like to contribute with fixing a few minor errors here and there, and helping to complete the course by adding the final lessons that are missing.
Is there a way to contact user framwockle so I can mention these? If not, I’d gladly take a contributor role.

Here is the list of things I have found while doing the first half of the lessons.
@framwockle, if you can update the course with these, I’d be grateful. Or if you prefer,I can be given permissions to contribute and apply them myself. Just let me know.

Level 1
- Zeichnen: change meaning to “to draw”. (“To show” is zeigen, as correctly added in level 15)
Level 3
- die Jugendlichten -> remove extra “t” (die Jugendlichen)
- die Unwetters -> fix the plural to “die Unwetter” (there is no extra s)
Level 4
- der Kommode -> fix to die Kommode (der Kommode, as it appears in the book, is used in dative; but the noun is feminine)
Level 5
- das Möbelstuck -> add umlaut in u: “Möbelstück”
Level 8
- die Schweitzer Alpen -> remove extra t in “Schweizer”
Level 13
- der WG -> it’s actually feminine, die WG, as it stands for die Wohngemeinschaft (which is correctly added in the same level)
Level 14
- die Gewichten -> fix plural to “die Gewicht” (remove extra n)
- die Salaten -> fix plural to “die Salate” (remove extra n)
- die Kürbise -> fix to “die Kürbisse” (add missing s)
Level 17
- hat angesehen -> There are two entries in this level with this word. One of them could be removed.
Level 18
- There is no way to distinguish “da” and “dort”, as both have the same meaning “there”.
- das Diskussionsrunde -> change to feminine: “die Diskussionsrunde”
Level 19
- das Mittelpunkt: change to masculine “der Mittelpunkt”

In lesson 15 the word “der Club” (Club) is introduced, and in lesson 17 its plural form “die Clubs” (Clubs) is introduced.
In lesson 23 the word “der Verein” (Club) is introduced, and in lesson 25 its plural form “die Vereine” (Clubs) is introduced.
When asked to translate “Club”, there is no way for the user to tell if you want the answer “der Club” or “der Verein”.
Any plans to disambiguate these?

Thanks for pointing this out. I’ve added both as alternatives, so any time you are asked for “Club”, typing any of them should do. Please let me know if this doesn’t work.

Hi. I’m new to Memrise, but I’ve been studying German for a while on Duolingo and at the local Goethe Institut.
I have an issue with the translations of nouns. The exercises ask for a translation of ‘cousin (Masc.)’, for instance, but refuses to accept ‘Cousin’ as the correct answer. Instead, it wants ‘der Cousin’, with the article - even though the article is not part of the question.
Maybe I’m taking this too seriously, but this kind of infuriates me. It should either be:
‘Cousin’ = ‘cousin’
or
‘der Cousin’ = ‘the cousin’
Is this something you would consider changing? Thanks.

Hi and sorry for the delay in this reply.
I know this can be somewhat frustrating but this is a common “feature” of many of the German courses in Memrise. I had to deal with it and eventually get used to it.
The good thing is that the course is consistent and all nouns require you to enter the article, so you should always add the article when asked for a noun.
Also note that is a good idea in German to learn the nouns with their articles, so the course was designed to reinforce the learning of each (article, noun) pair.
Note that adding the implicit “the” word to all nouns will take a lot of effort. If you have created your own courses and know how to add/edit entries, you will know what it takes to manually edit the 1000+ entries in the database. I’m also not sure if other users of the course would agree with the change.
Finally note that this course was created by framwockle and that I only volunteered to add contents for missing lessons at the end.

Hi. Thanks for your answer! I understand your reasoning about learning the German articles - that makes sense - I just wish the articles were there in the English, too. I’m sure it is a lot of work and I salute the dedication of those who make these things.
