I have found two glitches so far in the Harari language course. It does not allow me to choose the correct answer for the sound “U” in the “Course Pronunciation Guide”, or the correct answer for “akoh” in level 48 Quiz #8.
The course creator is GizmanAA. How do I reach out to her?!!!
It appears that the course creator @GizmanAA is not active in this forum yet. Perhaps @Lien can see if this user is still active with Memrise. Hopefully you will know soon.
@HindAGhazzawi ~ I took a quick look at the course, and based on what you are saying, it appears that there are no audio files for the two instances you are referring to.
The “u” audio file is missing in the pronunciation guide level, and if the written answer to the second one is “You are eating your absolute favourite dish for breakfast - eggs. Your brother walks in the kitchen behind you and asks, “What are you eating?”. How would you say, “I am eating eggs” in Harari ?” - there is no audio file for that one either. There are audio files for all the other choices.
@Lien from Memrise is pretty good at searching for/contacting Memrise users, so that is why her name was attached to this post. It is a weekend now however, so you may not have any news from her until next week. Happy learning !
@HindAGhazzawi ~ one final thing to mention. Besides the 2 audio issues you refer to, there are 8 other missing audio files throughout the course. Not sure if you got to the specific levels yet, but they are located in levels 36,38,40,41,56 and 64. So there are actually 10 missing audio files (the 2 you mentioned, and 8 others). Hopefully the course creator can be contacted and the audio files added. Thanks.
Hi @pdao, thanks for tagging me!
I love my job so don’t mind helping out over the weekend or at night. Feel free to tag me anytime
Great course this one! It has nearly-complete audio, there’s just 1 or 2 files missing…
I have emailed GizmanAA and invited them to this thread. Hopefully we’ll hear from them soon.
Thanks for the feedback.
I believe I have fixed the problem. I can now hear both audio files when I click “Learn these words” on my end.
If it still doesn’t work for you, maybe try re-installing the app?
I used to use your course to learn but it seems it is no longer available. Is there any other resources you can recommend? I cannot find one that is as comprehensive and engaging.
