@Lien ~ Hello. I hope all is well.
Unless I am missing something, it seems you are the first of the Memrise staff to create a Course Forum page by yourself (although I did see one for a Ben Whatley course, but it was created by someone else).
I am a bit confused by the link you put on your course directing users to this new Community Forum. You put your link in a message inside the existing course forum. That is okay for now, but isn’t that forum going to be closed on June 30th ? If so, how would a user access the link you provided ?
If users will still have access to the existing course forum after June 30th, then what was the point of the Olivia Z e-mail that has users in a reply tizzy ? I am confused.
Are we supposed to put our links to the Community Forum in the Course Description page, or in the existing course forum (like you did) ? Could you please clarify things. Thank you very much.
Hi Pdao,
I though I’d put it in the existing course forum to make the learners aware of the new forum.
Of course we’ll also send them an email nearer to the time.
It may indeed seem a bit pointless but it does no harm and was very quick to do, so why not
I like this course but it feels redundant now with the appearance of the Dutch 1-7 courses.
Thanks, Nazgul1337 - Happy to hear you like my course. As a native Dutch speaker working for Memrise, I created it a while ago, before we had any official Memrise-created courses.
Now our official courses are a fact, my Hacking Dutch course is indeed redundant for those wanting to actually learn Dutch. If you just want to know a bit of Dutch for an upcoming trip or so, Hacking Dutch is perfect!
