@Nomiswerdna ~ providing a link to your course would be very helpful so that others can take a look at it, and perhaps enjoy it as much as you. Thanks.

Does this work?

@Nomiswerdna ~ that’s perfect. Good luck with the course. Hopefully many will find it helpful and interesting.

Thank you. It’s early days yet, I hope to make it as big as practical. Not sure what that is…

Every journey begins with a first step. Good luck !

Hi Simon. Thanks for the course! I was wondering if it would be possible to switch off the typing tests or create an alternative course using the same content but without typing? Many thanks. Ed

Hi Ed, Yes, I’ll turn off typing, it helps with remembering spellings, but I know it can be a bit of a struggle!

Regards,

Simon.

Thanks Simon. That’s really helpful. How are you getting on with learning Gujarati? Can you recommend any text books or grammars? Thanks, Ed

I’ve stalled a bit with languages at the mo.

My biggest problem is that my circumstances don’t make it easy to practice what I learn, then the inevitable forgetting happens!

I’ve only got a couple of books, not used them much.

The best way I’ve found is to talk to native speakers, or move to the country concerned!

Thank you for the audio with this course! Really helpful

Thank you for posting. I’ve recently picked up my language learning again and I’m working my way through this course myself. I hope to add many more words soon.

I wanted to mention (for other learners too) that the typing might take some getting used to.

I had to turn it back on because I need to learn how to spell each word. Typing forces us to do that.

Just experiment with how the compound letters go together. The symbol ્ is for the half letter.

For example if you need the letter ર્મ you need to type ર then ્ then મ… Or for મ્ર it’s મ then ્ then ર

Or, say for the ક્ષ it’s ક then ્ then ષ.

Or એમ્બ્યુલન્સ is એ મ ્ બ ્ ય ુ લ ન ્ સ .

And so on  Have fun!
