@sootnose Hi, sootnose. What material on the site do you read to become “Certified”? I don’t know where to find it. I see that you are “certified” so I thought I’d ask you. תודה
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I honestly don’t know! I didn’t even know I was “certified”…
I’ve just been stumbling on these things myself trying to learn how to use the forum. I just found out about the “Badges” we earn by doing things on the forum a short while ago. If you click on your name, you’ll see that you have four “Badges”, one being “Certified”. You evidently did some interactive exercise to help you learn how to navigate the forum. If you find out how to access it, please let me know. I still need to learn how to do certain things on the site that I haven’t been able to figure out on my own. BTW, I like your little “I don’t know” stick figure! I’ve never seen that before! How do you make the smile?
Oh! The tutorial is a message you get from discobot, it asks you to respond to its messages with specific things or like its message etc. It should be in your messages, titled “Greetings!”. (Unless you didn’t get it for whatever reason.)
The shrug emoji is something I just copy+paste, because my keyboard isn’t quite that versatile I noticed, though, that you have to give it three “arms” on the left side for it to work right. With one “arm” it looks like this: ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and with two like this: ¯\(ツ)/¯ and only with the third one does it look right: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I surmise it’s a thing with the reverse slash working as a “code breaker”. For example, with the backslash you can use asterisks for actions like so: *laughs*, but without the backslash it becomes laughs.
