Is anyone maintaining this course? There are a number of verbs where the English translation leads to 2 or more french verbs.
For example in my last review I had for the English verb to break the answers rompre, briser and casser. They are all valid translations but for each one the question is identical so it’s impossible know which is the correct answer.

And another one @timangleterre is “souiller” and “salir” both with the meaning of “to soil” and both even on the same level. to call: nommer (25), appeler (6)
Maybe there are others. When learning the course it’s not much of a problem as the verbs are generally in different levels.
When reviewing it’s more of a problem. To break really gets to me!

I guess that it can be arranged. But only if you are motivated to do it and realize that it must be done with care and interest for the course itself and its users.
There is the possibility to add synonyms to a database and it would fix some of your problems.

Hi, Looks like @Maxine_Downunder got there first. I too would be prepared to help out but I know that @Maxine_Downunder already maintains some other courses. I would have to learn what to do first…!
I agree that it’s a good course - with a few changes it would be better. Synonyms would be a good start but some questions would need changing to reflect the different use of the alternatives (e.g. savoir and connaître).

Bonjour everyone. The French Verbs course by Alexpgp has now been updated by @timangleterre and myself. We have fixed up all of the annoying verbs where you only had a 50/50 chance of getting it right (due to synomyns). It really is a great course with credit to Alexpgp who created it in the first place. Timangleterre is doing a great job continuing with the update of the audio for this course.
