[Course Forum] Errors in Russe5 (for French)

Hello,
Is it possible to correct some errors in the Russe5 course (for french) :

-1 Level 19, the sentence “ты причинил ему боль” is translated as “Je lui ai fait mal”. That error is only present on the application, the translation is correct on the web site “Tu lui as…”

-2 Level 11, “ни пуха, ни пера!” is translated as “Bonne merde !”. We never say that in french from my knowledge (i’m 73). I understand that this expression is said to wish good luck but without saying it, by superstition. In that case, usually for exam or exhibition, we just say “Merde !”, maybe “Je te dis merde !” to avoid confusion.

-3 Level 10, I already pointed out that error, but “гол” is still translated as “goal” that, in french, means goal keeper. Please, the right word is “but”.

Best regards
Boyerge

Sorry, I forgot to suggest a translation for point 2 “ни пуха, ни пера!” -> “Merde ! (Bonne chance)”

Hello

This one is fixed, I reported it a few days ago. I think you need to log out and log in in the application to get the update there

Why not. But for me, “Je te dis merde !” is not more consistent that “Bonne merde !”, and “Merde !” alone as you said is too confusing. For me it is not important to debate on this, the card is clear as it is. There are more important errors to fix
EDIT: “Merde ! (Bonne chance)” seems a good compromise

You’re right, they fixed the other one, but it seems they forgot this one

Florian

PS: would you mind editing your first post and adding the link to the course? Thank you!
Nice that you report some errors to be updated.

Hi, Sorry this isn’t a reply to your question but, I’ve got a question too about the level 5 russian for english natives course. It gives the word ‘пуx’ and the translation is = down (on a chick) what does that even mean?? Google is showing fluff but i don’t get it?

Thank you if any one knows what it means!

Hi katerwiillett! just see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_feather

Hi fflorian,

Thank you!

Hi @katerwiillett. Thank you for your comment. Пух means young bird’s feathers. It’s been corrected in the course. Please log out and log in again to see updates version. Best of luck. Pasha

Hi @fflorian and @Boyerge,

The translation of гол has now been changed to but, thank you for spotting this

Best,
Fanny

Hi Baite,

I’m not sure to understand what you need. Anyway, I put hereafter a copy of my original post with the address of the pages concerned:
