[Course Forum] Diederich's Latin Vocabulary by Bretoc

Hello everyone. I’ve opened this topic in the hope of reaching Bretoc, the creator of the course – I do not know whether s/he is active on Memrise or not:

I do think this is a great course, although it could use some modifications: I think it would be great to add a Latin keyboard and perhaps audio, as well – there are some people on Forvo.com specializing in Classical Latin, e.g.:
http://forvo.com/user/sicerabibax/

They are quite active and regularly upload new requests, so pronunciations for each word could be requested and then uploaded to Memrise.

The reason I’ve started this thread is that I would like to ask Bretoc to add me as contributor so that I can implement these changes – that is, only in case s/he likes my ideas --, I think they would make this already brilliant course even better.

My username is: tamasgabor.kremerd3

Thanks!

  1. If Bretoc doesn’t answer, create your own Diederich course! There’s an Anki add-on that imports courses fairly well. Import Anki’s txt files to Excel and (batch) reupload to Memrise. Alternatively, use this excellent Diederich version: http://hiberna-cr.wikidot.com/downloads This file is ready to be imported to Excel and batch uploaded to Memrise. Either way, you are in full control over your own Diederich course. Then upload Forvo data (which is not as consistent classical Latin as you may think)
  2. Use my course. A great deal of the course is based on Diederich. The first 2000 words or so should cover Diederich’s short list completely. Voice is TTS generated though.
