Hey, you should now be able to edit the courses. Don’t forget to move the leaders into the ex-leaders level and not remove them and also filling in their term next to their “definition”/title. E.g. David Cameron “United Kingdom (Prime Minister 11 May 2010 - 13 July 2016)”. Do the same with the image levels.

Also don’t forget to keep the countries in the same order as they’re sorted by GDP (that took a lot of work )

Hey!
I love this course!!! I just started learning chapter 2…but even if I click the correct answer (and it is marked green), they set me back as if I answered wrong.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way this can be changed?

Hey everyone,

after a lot of inactivity in this course I‘ve just started to update some of the world leaders again, slowly working my way up through the GDP list. Some of the „current“ World Leaders were so outdated, they already had 2 successors so one had to be skipped.
I‘d appreciate some help by others.

The recently outgoing leaders of the update were not moved to the ex-leaders categories, which are now gone.
I suggest not to restore these lessons. They may have made sense a few years ago when the ex-leaders categories were much shorter then the current ones, but now they cause problems.

In fact, I guess it would make sense to fully delete the ex-leaders in the database. Some of memrise’s suggestions these days are very obvious due to the dead weight: sometimes 3 ex-leader options (with dates) are given as alternatives and are obviously never the correct answer in other lessons.
Furthermore, learning the names of leaders of eras long ago hardly seems to be the point of a „Current“ World Leaders course.

My idea: Let‘s get rid of some dead weight here and let people focus on what the course should be about. Not a history of old lists, but a way of learning about currently important leaders. Maybe that can revive the interest in this course which was a lot higher some years ago, when content was more recent. Any thoughts?
