@dutchsteven, if you ever come in this forum:
level 27: 他要吃苹果 is given as “he wants an apple” - I think it is “he wants to eat an apple”
many thanks!

also, “it’s too cold out” is not the “happiest” translation for 天气太冷了
in this 现在睡觉太早了。- the translation is missing a “to” (“It’s too early to go bed right now.”)
merci
Hi @Hydroptere,
I’ve copy-pasted the course from ChinesePod. I haven’t changed anything, my Chinese is not good enough to improve these translations.
I know that ChinesePod often chooses to use a ‘daily life’-translation instead of the perfect translation.
level 54
a tiny typo, probably:
她坐地铁上班。 He takes the subway to work Pinyin tā zuò dìtiě shàngbān.
it should he SHE (takes…)
我晚上八点下课。is not “Class tonight ends at eigth” - it should be more like “I finish class tonight at eigth”, (with the accepted alternative 晚上我八点下课。?)
also 你几点下课?is not “What time is class over?”, but maybe “when do you finish class” or something
many thanks
By “perfect translation”, I guess you meant “literal translation”?
Yes sometimes literal translation works better for language learners.
