[Course Forum] Advanced Spanish from random @bedov

hi, @bedov,

there are a number of inconsistencies in the course, for ex:
el sarpullido - a rash

typo: a mi me exigen - “they demeand that I” (they demand that I)

ya veo - I see. I suspect in the pdcast is “I see…”, or “I see!”, because otherwise the user does not know what did the “ya” lose there…

“ir de juerga” is not simply “to go out”, but to go out to have fun (or binge drinking, who knows) (⇒ ir de juerga = to go out for a good time)

i’ll post more of these… it would be such a pity, for such a good course not to attract the number of users it deserves…

(@Lien, please allow me to bother you once again?, would you please mail @bedov? s/he’s active learning, but not in here. Thanks)

I think @MemriseMatty is now dealing with that kind of things

thanks atikker, but lien helped my with such issues twice only this week, and memrisematty never, all weeks

@Lien is just such a nice person… always helping

@bedov, also: “a que edad se empieza estudiar” does mean “at what age does one start to study”/(in the meaning og “which is the age…”) and not “at what age do you start to study”

actually I think it is correct, just a more polite way to say it

yeah, than put me the mention “polite” then… how should I know which alternative is one asking…

btw, the question seemed to me a standard one when I moved countries some years ago and got asked about kid starting to learn this and that (getting enrolled/etc)… (the school master was not speaking about me, for sure, I’d say, and the kid was not present, yet  ; Atikker, btw, are you chasing me around  I’m trying to get a hold on the creator)

typo?: “what can you do”: que se va hacer// but you have immediately after: “I don’t feel good but what can I do about it”: No me siento bien pero qué se va a hacer

also: “to get fit”: ponerse in forma has two audio files, one of them is wrong, has something like “sencillo” in it

also: por causa de la= because of; why should the user add a “la”? “por causa de”

the course is/would be very nice, has audio, etc unfortunately these tiny but very frequent incosistencies… I’ve quit it for now, I’ll rejoin later

muchas gracias

in here it means that nothing can be done, it’s like passive voice, I think.

In my mother tongue it translates perfectly… So I think the va part is not a typo
