I believe there’s an error with the French translation of “we waited for two weeks” in this course. It reads, “nous avons attendu deux semaines”. To my knowledge the word “pendant” should be included, eg “nous avons attendu pendant deux semaines”. @Guillaume_Jaskula can you either correct this or tell me why I’m wrong. Thanks.
I guess Memrise will tell you that they like to translate in the most common and used language, and it is “nous avons attendu 2 semaines” but you are right, I would prefer for the most accurate translation to be indicated as we learn to build sentences first and the meaning of all words.
Saying that, French would replace “nous” by “on” so often that they would say : “on a attendu 2 semaines”
Spoken language should only come into the fore later, when all is in place and well settled
