I’m an editor of the “HSK Complete Traditional Characters”. Whenever I encounter mistakes in the course (such as words that use simplified rather than traditional characters), I fix them using the course editor in the web app. However, these edits never show up in the app.
The only way I found to fix this, is by downloading the course to make it available offline, or, if it is already downloaded, to toggle the ‘offline’ button and download the course again.
This is really annoying. It’s sort of workable for myself, because I know that I’ve made those changes. However, other people using the app don’t know this and might forever see incorrect or outdated content. I would expect the app to check for changes regularly and make sure that course content is always up to date.
The only way I know to update course entirely is to log out and back in so the app refreshes all the courses. If I’ve added audio then it’s the only way I hear it in app.
Yes, I also regularly encounter this problem. And the only solution I know is the one from @Attiker as well - but that’s really combersome and certainly not ideal.
(I mostly use memrise for self-created courses, so I often discover typos that I have to change or add something to a definition because otherwise it can’t be distinguished from another word I added earlier…which leads to mistakes in the reviewing progress)
I have just had this too in a self created german word list that i edited, i have only recently started using the app in parallel with the pc. I shall try also to log out and back in.
logging out and logging back in does seem to update the phone app to the self created list after any edits.
