I am trying to convert to Memrise from Quizlet. It is so much more effective and fun for me. One major holdback though is the course creation function. I find Memrise to be behind Quizlet, just in this sense. Creating sets is all about being efficient so you can crack on with the actual learning, which Memrise is excellent at.
If Memrise could add these functions I would be an instant convert:
- Everything that you can do on the web, you can do in the app ie course creation.
- Ability to create private sets, folders, classes.
- Most importantly, document scanner function, as well as bulk imports.
This would need to ensure that it could handle right to left text (Arabic). It would also need to be accurate enough to pick up on harakaat and subtle differences in letters. Both of these things are something that Quizlet can’t do currently. - Memrise can already intelligently suggest terms and definitions - could it do the same with audio too? This would be a massive time-saver.
- I like the auto function that moves you onto the next term/audio to create/record. This saves time.
- Ability to add photos or symbols (automatic generation of pictures to add from a database).
This would honestly make my vocab learning life if Memrise could deliver!
