Choice of learning method

I wonder why the user doesn’t have a choice of the method they want to learn - typing, tapping or multiple choices. I don’t know how difficult is this but as a user, I would like to be able to choose which method to use for an entire course, for a level, or even for individual words. Typing is great for fast learning but with long sentences, there are many possibilities for miswriting and slow down the process. So, I want to type words but to tap phases. Or to type non-typing course with words.
So, dear great Memrise programmers, if it’s not so hard to implement it, please include this functionality.

you could make your own courses and set the learning method as you wish… just a thought

If you are using the website you can do this. Click the first link to cooljingle’s userscripts in this post and install the relevant userscript from the list:

I made my own courses. There is one problem with the audio. I can record my own audio - bad quality, awful pronunciation. Or to use machine voice.
And as I said, I want to type words and to tap long sentences. I divide one course in two - one typing and one tapping. I think it would be easier if this functionality is build in.

Thank you very much.
I have a question. Can I instal all three scripts - all-typing, all-multiple choice, all-tapping - and use one or another where I need. Anybody who did it?

Very likely you’ll see 3 extra text links in the top-left of the screen and you can then activate the one you want by clicking the relevant link and changing the setting in the pop-up. I haven’t tried these scripts myself though.

Hi! If you use different databases you can set one for typing and other for taping and third for only multiple choice tests. And its all in 1 course, no need to make two similar courses. This is also app-friendly
