Is there any way you can add the characters and alphabet of different languages to the computer version of Memrise? I am trying to get better at Japanese but can’t type in answers using their alphabet can someone help?

I recommend installing and using a Japanese IME, which will let you use an English keyboard to type in Japanese. Here’s the page that walked me through getting mine:
