Can't cancel Pro subscription

Hi @MemriseSupport, I’m trying to cancel my annual subscription with no success so far. Today I got a payment charge through apple store, but it was rejected due to no funds. I tried to cancel the subscription in Memrise.com, but it redirect me to my itunes where there are no enable options to to change the subscription.

For Apple/iTunes subscriptions, auto-renewal can only be cancelled via your Apple account . Here’s how to do so:

On your device, go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store .

  1. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  2. Tap View Apple ID . You may need to sign in or use Touch ID.
  3. Tap Subscriptions .
  4. Select the Memrise subscription.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

If the cancel button is not available on your subscription, it means it’s already been cancelled. For further details about this, please refer to Apple Support.

Please note : if you subscribed to Memrise via Apple/iTunes (iOS), you will need to get in touch with Apple directly to request a refund.

Hi @MemriseSupport, I followed the procedure but it is not available to cancel the subscription. As I mentioned before on the 28th of february there was an auto renew charge in my card that it was rejected by lack of funds, so my concern is that this auto charge will be done again when funds available.

Could you check the status of my subscription?

Hi @nidiahaupt29, I’m afraid as Apple do not allow developers to access the payments and refunds system for Apple payments, we don’t have visibility of your subscription status. Usually, if the cancel button is not available on your subscription, it means it has already been cancelled. If you reach out to Apple directly, they should be able to confirm this.
