Basically, I can’t buy the pro subscription on the app; clicking any of the annual, monthly or three monthly prices does nothing but darken the screen like a message is supposed to pop up in the foreground.
Is this a known bug?
I’m on a Redmi note from Xiaomi with their MIUI 8 android version - does this clash with the Memrise app somehow?
It’s a shame because I can see I’ve got an offer for half off the annual subscription which expires in 2 days and I want to take that, but get nothing.
Don’t worry with the offer. It will appear often.
But, do you really want the pro sub? Just consider what you will get out of it and then make up your mind.

Since there’s no trial and I don’t know personally of anyone who has it, I can’t really say if I’d call the subscription worthwhile. Do you have an opinion on this?
I’m a little bit surprised that a staffer didn’t just send me an email link to buy the half off deal - facilitating sales is a basic business gospel but tech and software companies are famous for being a little more relaxed than older businesses.
I had the pro for two years but it was more to support Memrise, since the pro features were minimal.
I think now they added more features, but I have never tested them.
Currently I don’t support them because I am sick of how they treat their users.
If you want you can try a monthly sub and then decide if you want to continue.
The offer will appear from time to time. You don’t need to rush your decision just to benefit from it
