Has there been any sort of statement on this so far? I really don’t like the fact that they’ve made this change and hope it will be reversed. I noticed that the screen I get when trying to download a course has changed. It now says the name of one of the two courses I still have stored offline.
I have posted an email reply from a memrise customer rep saying yes it is now a paid only feature
@quala - thanks for the information. Major ouch for Android users, and hopefully not a portent of things to come for iOS users.
To be on the safe side, it might be prudent for non-Pro iOS users to download all the courses they think might want to use offline in the future, since the tide nowadays seems to be for Memrise to take away functionality without prior notification. (Which ironically they never mention in their brief summary update blurbs for either app on the associated stores where we typically download from).
Isn’t the other day Lien (pardon if I missed the name) answered to someone that the problem is solved in Beta?!

I am a non-Pro Beta.
I have tried to download two of the German Memrise courses and failed right at the end. One has more than 150, I think, the other around 400. Then I have tried my smallest course and succeeded. Here are the pictures. The download was immediate.
The failures of the other two was internet effected. I have 2 mb/s wifi…I think.
Any news on this?
Where can I get the beta?

From the thread above I see that only Pro Members have the download possibility.
I paid 6-months subscription, does it mean I become ProMember and can use this option? How can I find “Download” button? I do not see anywhere.
I use Memrise at Android 6.0.1. My screenshot is attached here.

Hello @InnaBasovae3, you need to tap on the name of the course (top of screen), a new screen will come and the download button is an arrow pointing down in the top right of your screen.
When the course in downloaded, a “tick” will replace the arrow.
