‘longe’ does not mean ‘long, tall’ in English. Longe = 1. lijn om een paard aan te laten lopen, which is to say that you use a lunge line to lunge a horse, lunging is very basically a technique for training horses.
Longe = 2. ver, verreweg
‘long, tall’ = lang.
