I just wanted a very basic course to help learn enough key phrases to be of use while on a 2-week vacation around Thailand - none of the ones I looked at seemed geared towards that. So I ended up creating one myself, using a combination of resources. Given I don’t speak a word of Thai no doubt it has errors in it, but I’ve checked the entries reasonably thoroughly: https://www.memrise.com/course/1966621/basic-thai-for-travelers/ . Obviously it’s still work in progress.
I haven’t mentioned the “krap”/“kha” politeness endings, as there’re plenty of other references explaining that, and having male & female entries for every phrase was just overkill.
More than happy to get feedback especially from anyone with Thai knowledge.
