So I finally decided to introduce myself to the badge system of the forums and I noticed that I have not been awarded some badges I should have earned. Reader, First Quote and Promoter are the badges in question. I know it is silly to worry about such a trivial thing but I hate things that do not work properly. They just make me go 
I have had some serious problems with this site (I cannot use the record function for instance but have to upload my recordings) and the absence of badges seems very symbolic. I still love learning things here though. 
this site aint perfect yet : D I think that they are still working on it

Hi, I believe the Promotor badge is unattainable. Since you can only invite users who are already registered to Memrise.
The āFirst Quoteā badge is granted when you quote a post in your reply. Since you havenāt done this, you have not been given the badge. Hereās an example of a quote.
You can view other users who achieved this badge and how by looking at the badge history.
Youāve recently been given the Reader badge, this badge is granted the first time you read a long topic with more than 100 replies.

On a different site that also uses Discourse for their forums, I didnāt get the Reader badge the first time I read an entire topic that had over 100 posts. I never did figure out why, but I got it the next time I read a thread that long ā just some sort of glitch, I guess. On this forum, though, I think I got the badge the first time I read a very lengthy thread.
