If you have an existing course and change some or all of the lessons to prompt from English to target language the other way around, or vice versa, the iOS app will sync so that you start with all words from beginning.
This is really nasty. The expectation that learned words should not be returned as new words.

when the creator changes the testing direction -at least in the web version - a dialog opens telling you clearly that all progress would be lost if you change the direction. I find this the right way…
For me this is not the right way. You learn the words. Period. You don’t start from zero when switching order. Actually now and then switching orders in existing courses would help the learning process. What course developers now are forced to do is to duplicate the courses with same words but separate ordering…
