Are columns currently broken in course creation?

Sorry if I’m being stupid - it’s been a few years since I last created a course.

Today I started an Irish course for English learners. I can enter the word and translation in the appropriate columns, but all other columns (eg, gender, part of speech) are solid blue, with no way to enter details.

I don’t remember having this problem before. Have I just forgotten something important, or has the system changed, or is something currently broken?

Sorry I can’t be of much help, but I just checked on one of my courses, and I can edit all of the columns, so I think the problem probably isn’t that something’s broken. I don’t have any columns that are blue, either.

Hi @Lector,

Has your course only got a single level by any chance? It sounds like you may need to add a level to expose the ‘database’ button and the ability to add and populate the other columns.

Thanks, alanh - I suspect I’m just doing something stupid - the columns were ‘attributes’, so I deleted them all and created my own. Now I CAN edit those.

I would have come back and deleted my original post, except that there doesn’t seem to be a way.
