[Arabic 1] Unable to access actual lessons

On my phone, the Arabic 1 course is completely unavailable. Screenshot of issue:

It obviously knows that this exists, and it knows the next section exists, but for some reason the lessons do not. Trying to hit the “Learn New Words” button results in a bland “Sorry, there was an error loading the session!” message. Other lessons still function normally, such as the German 1 course. I do most of my Memrise on the bus so this is really inconvenient for my learning.

Restarting phone and uninstalling completing did not fix.

So our QA team have had a quick check and it looks like you just have to remove the course from your courses and then reload the course from scratch.

Don’t worry, this won’t delete any of your progress! It just reinstalls it fresh and bug free :sunglasses:

It’s the bin icon below found in the screen when you click on the course:

While I can now access Arabic 1 on mobile, it did reset my progress. I have to start from the beginning again. It reset it for destop as well.

I wasn’t terribly far, so it’s not the worst thing in the world, but it’s still kind of disappointing. :frowning:

Hi @FeikSneik, from your screenshot it shows you’ve had no progress in the course.

Also your total point accumulated from the course was 0.

Are you sure you had progress in this course? If so, did you have a lot of progress? I’ll be happy to give back any loss progress.

I’d like to also note, removing a course will not delete your progress or learning history. The progress is only reset when you restart the course. You can the quit course and continue any time without fear of progress loss.

@Joshua I did have progress in this course before this issue, but I had only just started lesson 3. I have already rushed through my missed sections, so I don’t need you to give me anything back. I’ll just consider it extended practice. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Thank you for the offer, though.

I have removed and restarted courses before, so I know that it saves progress normally; I don’t know what happened here, but I hope it doesn’t happen again.
