When I review or learn new words in the iOS app, at set intervals the screen fills with a purple animation. I’m not sure what this is supposed to indicate, but I find it incredibly distracting to the learning process. Additionally, it slows down the transition to the next word. Would it be possible to disable this animation so that I could review/learn more quickly without the flashy distraction?

I have to wear sunglasses to negate the purple effect on my eyes, for some reason it gives me a headache. I had emailed a couple of weeks ago and I can only assume that they are working on an “off” switch.
It’s supposed to indicate some kind of bonus (probably several correct answers in a row). I agree it is distracting, especially as purple is not that much different from red.
I “complained” (wrote feedback) about it immediately after it appeared, it must have been a few months ago. No response. I gradually got mostly used to it, but still would prefer an option to turn it off.
Wearing sunglasses isn’t a bad idea. haha I’m hoping for an “off” switch, or better yet, for it is be removed altogether. The sparkles near the flower should be plenty to indicate the bonus in points.
Same here. The animation got on my nerves immediatly after I saw it the first time, still at times forces me to blink and rub my eyes. Less bling-bling would be appreciated …
I’m glad it is not just me. I am kinda sad to see them adding more “aesthetics” instead of improving functioning.
