Usually when you display the iOS English keyboard when testing there’s one gap where an additional character could be inserted. This would be helpful as the more letters in the default keyboard, the more work is required to really remember the word translated. I would even go one step further and make the keyboard smaller (the default iOS keyboard is much smaller) to add a couple of more randomized but common letters to make the student work harder to find the right word amongst multiple options from the keyboard.
