App doesn't work offline (won't launch/ load)

The app simply does not work offline for me. It takes a very long time to launch and open (when it even does, and it usually doesn’t). The blue loading screen just stays there. Then it takes forever to open and load the course and often does not work, or stops partway through, despite the course being available for offline use.

I have the option to download courses for offline use with my account and this is not the problem. I do not understand why the app suddenly becomes slow and crashes when it is offline.

Any help would be appreciated. I wanted to upgrade to Pro but obviously won’t do this if the app doesn’t work!

Can you try un-installing and re-installing the app? If this fails, can you advise what device and OS version you are using?

Unfortunately there has been no change after uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

The Android version is 6.0.1 and it’s on a Samsung Galaxy S6.

With the Android update the issue seems to have been resolved. I presume it was a problem on their end then. It’s a shame that it affected the Memrise app, whatever it was.
