Just in the last day or so, the app has begun crashing when I try to do a review on certain courses. So far, the ones that crash are courses that are completed but have words to review. However, not all completed courses crash. I am able to do review for the crashing courses via the website.

Are you able to confirm the name of the course where the app crashes? 
Yes. I haven’t tested every course on my list, but the two for which it has been happening are:
Ancient Greek GCSE Grammar
Mastronarde Intro to Ancient Greek 2nd ed
Other courses seem to be working as normal. I tried to think whether there is anything special about these two. They have in common that they are both completed courses, both user-created, both ancient Greek. But I have other courses that share all three characteristics that do not crash. So I don’t know.

Just checked: “Mastronarde Intro to Ancient Greek 2nd ed” works fine for me without crashing. (iPhone 6s, Memrise beta v1.0.212418)

I’ve got iPhone 6, Memrise 2.3.14. That update was installed on Feb. 2, and all courses were working in the previous version.
Note also on web version … Spanish course hanging today in Firefox and Chrome also
Update: Ancient Greek GCSE Grammar has now started working normally. Mastronarde still crashing.

Installed latest version (2.3.15).
Ancient Greek GCSE Grammar still OK.
Mastronarde still crashing.
Installed the next update (2.3.16) and Mastronarde was still crashing. Since my kids (different model iPhone, but still) were not having the same trouble, I decided to delete and reinstall the app. That appears to have fixed the problem!
