I’m studying Spanish right now, but the course creator makes it optional to add the accents. So… at times, I get the right answer by not putting any accents even though the actual word does, in fact, have accents.
For some words, I’d like to check by clicking on “Show Answer,” but there seems to be no keyboard shortcut for it? I do have Tampermonkey chrome extension.
Has anyone made a script for this yet, or is there some other simple solution?
There is the escape key = ESC which takes that function.
With the mems ESC always worked, even you gave the correct answer as there was still the “show answer” button, even you submitted a correct answer.
I believe I tested that at least twice.
And after the answer and hitting ESC hotkey, Memrise redirected me to the MEM screen.
With the removement in all courses (offical, user created) of the “show mem” button, the 2nd “show answer button” is not working for me any good, after I give the correct answer.
Workaround: Use Cooljingle’s nice newer user script “Memrise Autocorrect”.
With installing it you can still type in normal text, but the script auto changes the characters to any accents, like you would have typed them.
With that you can at least have a clue how the words look like in a longer sentence.
I do not know of any other current solution, as Memrise has patched out the working buttons, so the “show answer” button does only work if you do not submit the answer before.
Sorry for having no better news for you.
Or maybe Cooljingle has some idea…somehow it sucks anyways having to script around that much with all the problems of the default Memrise behavior?!?
