Maybe I’m not understanding the way things work, but I was under the assumption that paying for pro opened up more features, not more levels. Yet every level after the first in the Dutch 1 course is locked unless I sign up for pro. I just want to learn new words and review; isn’t that supposed to be free for all levels?
iPhone 5s on iOS 10.3.3 if that makes a difference.
Are the levels also locked on the web?
I ask, because I have wondered if this is a problem with the UI design on mobile.
Interesting… I did a few courses on the web (on a computer), and those courses seem to be unlocked. Still locked on the iOS app, though. Must be a UI thing. Very annoying!
On the iOS app, if you tap (double?) the header when on the planets screen, does it take you to the old style text grid of levels? Are these locked?
Also the launch button (bottom left) might work from this old legacy screen, as it won’t try to launch the Grammarbots. (I think it is the forcing of the next lesson type to Grammarbots is the problem, since you need Pro for them)
Locked in the text grid, although I can at least access the words and meanings for the next levels (none of the exercises, just able to view them). Launch also says it’s locked. The “upgrade to pro” screen that comes up really does seem like they want you to pay for the official course, but again, I can freely access it on the web.
I have seen this bug as well and I know 2 people who have stopped using the app because of it. When the dialog box pops up saying ‘Try Pro’, for smaller iOS devices the text at the bottom that says ‘No, I would like to continue without it’ is blocked and unclickable, you can see it behind the dialog box at the bottom in the screenshot I have added below.
