Hi ! I’m learning Korean and I don’t understand the difference between 세상 and 세계. Can someone explain it to me ?

Hi,

Basically, 세상 is the basic notion that you can use to refer to “the world” and when you talk about the geographical and international sense of the world, you use 세계.

For example
세상을 떠나다 (떠나다 means leave), it means “die”

세계 평화 means "world peace"
세계 각국 (각국 means every country) means “all countries of the world”
