This is a tiny course with just a few words so far. I have a setting for the correct answer to be either “Schönheit” or “die Schönheit.” However, only the choice with the definite article is being accepted as correct during review, not the alternative. My self-created Italian course seems to be okay in this regard now, but not this one. Any suggestions on how to fix? Also, how is a course set up for strict typing or no strict typing? I used to know this but can’t seem to find where the option is selected.
This has been a problem since the update three days ago. Guess we have to wait.
Still having the same problem of alternative answers not being accepted.
Alternatives containing special characters behave strangely. You might have to give the (stupid) alternative Schonheit as well in order to work. But that depends (maybe) on whether the course is set to strict typing or not.
Your second question: Go to level, click on the small pencil next to your first column.
Open the dialog. On the second card you can enforce strict typing.
Thank you very much, and very nice of you to take the time to include the screenshots! My brain apparently had a blank spot where I wasn’t noticing those little pencils For now I am going to follow your suggestion on the sort of deliberately incorrect alternative. It really is the most pragmatic approach until such time as the actual bug is fixed.
This seems to be working okay now. Thank you!
Hi there,
is this from 2017? Does the alt answer funtion work again? Because it does not seem to work for me, and I have no idea why. Using no special characters or strict typing. But maybe I ahve a lack of logic in what I am trying to achieve.
Thanks in advance for any input.
It is still not working,
I added “hello” “hola” “Salut” and “hallo” to create a polyglot course, but when I enter all alt answers so every combination is possible, it simply is not working, normally all combinations should be working since I only got these “hello” words yet. I added all 12 combinations that could be asked for and put in each answer all possible alts for “hello”, i. e. “hola” “hallo” “Salut”.
Normally, by now one should be able to chose whatever one wants while it is still being correct. Due to the alts there shouldn’t be any wrong answers yet.
I don’t get it
