Avoir le seum means “to be angry or disgusted”. I had never heard that before and just learnt it :slight_smile: It is explained here:

I’d caution against using «bordel.» It’s normally a bit stronger than its explanation there.

Moreover the translation is inaccurate. “What a mess!” (which is not vulgar as far as I know) would correspond to “Quel bordel !” in vulgar French, “Quel désordre !” in more formal French. Personally I would advise against using any of the above words or phrases, except “un temps de chien”.
