I’ve just stumbled upon a case in unit 16 of Korean 2 course where all presented answers were the correct answer.
Is this a Desks provided course? I’ve seen this happening with new records added since the last two weeks or so.
No, that’s the official “Korean 2” course from Memrise.
I see this in the app (but only when learning on-line), and in the web version, too. And it’s always the correct answer that gets multiple entries, never one of the other ones, ie a bit of a give-away, even if not all entries are the same.
I have exactly the same and have been experiencing this know for a week or so, with a course that I created a year ago. Interestingly, it does only or mostly seem to happen with words/phrases that I just added very recently (say max 2 weeks ago).
@MemriseMatty: to whom could we report this error? It impacts my learning, as I am not able to do reviews effectively. Thank you!
And some give only three options when typing question
Hi all,
Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. We are aware of this problem and are investigating.
Can you please send us more details on the device, OS and Memrise version you are using? e.g.
- Samsung Galaxy S10
- Android 10
- 2.94_17285_memrise
Can you please also confirm if you tried to reinstall the app? This might fix the issue.
I look forward to your response.
Best wishes,
Memrise team.
I encountered this on Google Pixel 2. It was the latest available version of Memrise on the day when I first reported the bug. No, I have, not reinstalled the app.
This is not an Android only problem. It’s an issue with any new words added in via the desks web site and is also present on iOS mobile apps and the Desks web site. Started about two months ago. Regression. Not fixed by Memrise. Enough said.
PS: Looks like Memrise has abandoned Desks even if they promised us it will be supported…
- Samsung M40 - SM -M405F
- Android 9
- 2.94_15934_memrise
- Didn’t try to reinstall the app (because then I need to re-download all courses and some courses won’t download properly)
- Only recently created entries seem to have the problem.
I have the same problem on the web. See other thread:
When learning same answer shows for all option
As said only new entries seem to have the problem. The particular course hadn’t been updated for months, and when I added new words early December, for these new word all options or most options, 3 or 4 of the 5, were the same.
