If I want to learn, say 10 words per day in memrise, how do I do this? I mean in the moment there is Review and Learn button, but in most cases when I press “learn”, I don’t get new words but have to repeat (So review) words I added previously. It’s hard to make a predictable schedule when you want to add a specific amount of new words per day like in anki. At the moment I have no idea how long it takes me to go through say 1k word course.
Am I missing something or is it the system of memrise?
I don’t fully understand your question… but I’ll give it my best attempt.
Are you aware that when learning each new word, you’re tested on it 6 times? After 6 successful answers, Memrise counts the item as “learned.” (If you answer incorrectly, you’ll usually be tested on it a couple extra times.)
I almost never use the app, but if I remember correctly, the app often breaks up the learning process into two sessions, and each one tests you three times per new item… You’ll know you’ve successfully completed the learning process (as Memrise determines it) if you see a fully blooming flower next to the item when you’re looking at the lesson screen. If you see a couple leaves and a stem, you’re not done learning. Items with a purple-brown seed icon are words you haven’t seen yet. So, if you have a few items that are only leaves and a stem, Memrise will test you on those items in the next learning session.
