Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Sorry I´ve uploaded it too quickly and have noticed it now.--Cybershot800i 18:46, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Please don't overwrite currently-existing images with new versions unless the newly-uploaded image is overwhelmingly obviously superior in almost every respect. That was true for Image:Rose_adelaide_ducreux_color.jpg, but it was very much not true in the case of Image:Madame-Seriziat_Jacques-Louis-David_1795.jpg. If there's room for legitimate dispute over whether an image is really better than the version already on Commons, then it's greatly preferrable to upload it under a new name (instead of overwriting the previous image). Hallo Cybershot800i,
Hi Cybershot, you uploaded some years ago, a very beautiful picture, but a bit unsharp. So I was trying to find a better copy, which I failed to do. Instead I noticed that your image is not the same as the original. I changed the artist description to "After Tischbein". But since this is a copy the source and current location are not correct. Could you dig in your memory where you got this image from and change the description accordingly, please? Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 18:31, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- By the way, I noticed the rude comments by User:Kelisi. The image you uploaded there was not the same image, but a painted copy as well. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 18:54, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, back then I copyied the picture from some book cover as far as I remember, which was just in low resolution. Because the picture was not complete to fit in size, i sprayed the missing part just dark on the left and right side of the body.--Cybershot800i (talk) 11:06, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
The wanderer above the sea of fog[edit]
Did you create the scan of The wanderer above the sea of fog that you uploaded? I currently have the photo up to be a featured picture. Cheers --Guerillero 08:28, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I did, i actually didn't scan it, because of the big size I simply took a photo of it with my Canon. regards--Cybershot800i (talk) 11:09, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
Am I free to use this reproduction in a book without further need for permissions ? Thanks, IB Hello Cybershot, Can I use your picture for a cover of my thesis work? I would like to include your name for copyright too! Would that be possible? I would appreciate a lot your prompt answer. My email: [email protected]. —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 130.237.148.61 (talk) 08:31, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for finding a new version of this image. I have, however, restored the first for now, as it shows more of the original painting (the crop is tighter on the top, and in the original version uploaded you can see more details in the drapery to the lower left and beneath the table - including the pattern on the tiles. I think the version you uploaded is lovely as well, though, and would encourage you to upload it under a different title in accordance with Commons:Avoid overwriting existing files. Both images could be useful depending on the context in which they're being used. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:45, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

Mozart Posthumous Painting by Barbara Krafft[edit]
Hi There,
I am writing to make sure if I can use the photo you uploaded of Mozart Posthumous Painting by Barbara Krafft for commercial purposes. I am designing a toy that will play Mozart music to introduce children to classical music in a fun way. I would like to slightly alter the image by using Mozart figure only without the background.
Thank you, Joanna —Preceding unsigned comment was added by 116.88.85.139 (talk) 03:02, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
