The course made possible to learn all the meanings to the Jōyō set in my own language.

In effect, learning the meanings will be all I need to get started with Obenkyo, a quality app available on Kindle and Android devices that has it all.

I like Memrise for learning Kanji meanings, but when it comes to onyomi & kunyomi, I have better luck if I know the material in advance. In fact, I was planning my approach to the yomi the entire time I took this course, looking for patterns and such. I also took the perfunctory approach of providing hundreds if not thousands of mems for the Memrise course and eventually began to put in the yomi and get better about the mems.

Fini!

Thought I share some JLPT resources that I have been creating for the past 6-8 months. These courses are connected to my existing website that supports ALTs teaching in Japanese schools. So, yes, I’m in Japan and as always, a learner of Japanese.

In these courses, from JLPT N1 to N5, you’ll have the usual of what Memrise offers, but with the added audio features. The grammar ones include grammar words, example sentences, and much more. The vocab ones include the Kanji Reading, WaniKani alternative via Flippity on Memrise Multimedia, and soon-to-have the katakana words on Flippity.

Enjoy!
