Whenever we’re quizzed on the word “conscious,” it’s a 50-50 chance of being marked right, as sometimes “ξυπνητός” is the only acceptable response – and sometimes, it’s “συνειδητός.” Help, please!

OK, I’ve made either ξυπνητός or συνειδητός cross-Alt’d so either word is acceptable as answer.
