I didn’t realize anyone was saying it shouldn’t be a choice whether to do all typing or some typing or no typing, etc. The opposite, actually. As in: Memrise, please stop making a blanket decision for everyone.

Without mnemonics i could eventually create some excel sheet or whatever clumsy solution to still have them at hand. Forced multiple choice would absolutely kill me though.
Please give us an option to turn them off completely
